County Camp
28-30 June 2024
Girlguiding Cumbria South county will be celebrating its 50th anniversary next year. As part of the celebrations we will be holding a special event at Muncaster Castle, the weekend of 28 – 30 June.
Celebrate
Sunday 19th Nov
We also have Celebrate! (formerly know as Aspire), our annual event where we recognise and celebrate the achievements of our young members. on Sunday 19 November, at Queen Katherine School Kendal.
Wish Cinema Screening
9th & 10th Dec
We have organised screenings of the new Disney film ‘Wish’ at the Roxy Cinema, Ulverston on 9 & 10 December and the Royalty Cinema, Bowness on 10 December.

Twinkle for Heather
The ‘Twinkle for Heather’ challenge badge has been developed in memory of Heather Porter. Heather’s leader name was ‘Twinkle’. Click Here for the Badge
Our Sections
Rainbows
4 -7 Years
Rainbows is all about developing self-confidence, building friendships, learning new things and having fun. Girls get their hands dirty, do arts and crafts, try different sports, & play games with friends.
Brownies
7-10 Years
Brownies plan their own adventures and learn new skills with their friends. They play games, go on outings, enjoy pack holidays, support their community and explore the world around them.
Guides
10-14 Years
Guides challenge themselves to be their best. They can try a range of outdoor activities, learn about the world around them and have international adventures. Guides make friendships that last a lifetime!
Rangers
14-18 Years
Rangers can travel the world, develop leadership skills & boost their CV’s. Rangers meet regularly, do fun activities & get recognised for their achievements with badges & awards.
Young Leaders
14-18 Years
The Young Leader qualification (YLQ) is designed to help you take an active, positive part in running a Rainbow, Brownie or Guide unit. It is open to anyone in guiding aged 14 to 18.
Inspire
18-30 Years
Inspire is our fun & flexiable community for women aged 18 to 30. Be part of our community of young women having adventures, gaining skills and making memories to last a lifetime.
Adult Volunteers
Find your place in our team of inspirational women, sharing their skills & passions with local girls. All while benefiting from the amazing opportunities guiding has to offer.
Trefoil Guild
18+ Years
In Trefoil Guild, members make new friends, travel, explore, serve their communities and help Guiding thrive across the UK. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet like-minded people.
