Outdoor Skills Day

Join a fun & friendly day to brush up or lern new outdoor skills to share with your units!
It’s a new guiding year and what better way to get to know your unit team better than come along to Footprint for some fresh air and fun and try something new together!
Aimed primarily at Brownie, Guide and Ranger unit leadership teams (but Rainbow leaders with a sense of adventure are also welcome!)
We’d also like to invite Ranger units along as well to upskill their outdoor skills.
About this event
Spend a fun, practical day at a beautiful venue with trainers, Lindsey and Sam to learn/share outdoor skills to use with your unit.

You will be:
- Cooking your lunch using a variety of cooking methods (fires- drought/weather permitting, gas, trangias)
- Pitching and talking about tents and setting up your campsite
- Trying your hand at traditional guiding skills – such as creating practical and fun gadgets using knots and lashing, flags etc. and lots more besides.
